Smriti Mandhana has been named the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Women’s Cricketer of the Year.
The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was short-listed for Smriti Mandhana; Tammy Beaumont of England, Lizelle Lee of South Africa, and Gaby Lewis of Ireland; according to the International Cricket Council.
Smriti Mandhana, India’s swashbuckling opener, was name the ICC Women’s Cricketer; of the Year on Monday for her amazing run of form across all formats in 2021.
Mandhana was name to the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy shortlist alongside Tammy Beaumont of England; Lizelle Lee of South Africa, and Gaby Lewis of Ireland, according to the ICC.
Despite India’s challenging year in 2021, Mandhana’s stock has risen this year.
Mandhana was instrumental in both of India’s triumphs in the limited-overs arrangement against South Africa; which saw India win two of eight matches at home. She hit 80 not out as India chased down 158 in the last ODI to assist them tie the series; and she hit 48 not out in the last T20I to assist India win. In the one-off Test against England that wrapped up in a draw; the 25-year-old batted brilliantly for 78 runs in the first innings. She hit a vital 49, in India’s solitary triumph within the ODI arrangement. In any case, her 15-ball 29 and 50 within the T20I arrangement were unsuccessful; as India misplaced both matches and the arrangement 2-1.

Starting with the ODI series, where she struck 86 in the second ODI; the Southpaw was in fine form in the series against Australia.
