The funny interaction between Ravichandran Ashwin and on-field umpire Nitin Menon during the first India-New Zealand Test has gone popular on social media.
In the 73rd over, Nitin Menon, who has battled to get lbw and caught-behind decisions right in Kanpur. He had an animated exchange with the spinner. In the over, Ravichandran Ashwin went for a diagonal run-up. Then trotting in front of the umpire and then the non-striker while delivering the ball.

Not only did this appear to block the umpire’s eyesight, but it also looked to agitate the non-striker, Tom Latham. On the broadcast, Nitin Menon had a heated conversation with Ravichandran Ashwin. He then contacted Ajinkya Rahane, the skipper, to address the situation between overs.
