IND vs NZ 2021: Wasim Jaffer recently responded to Jimmy Neesham’s prediction about the Decision Review System

IND vs NZ 2021: Former opener Wasim Jaffer recently responded to Jimmy Neesham’s prediction about the Decision Review System (DRS). According to Neesham, India may be able to resist the use of DRS in home series. In the 56th over of New Zealand’s innings, Kiwi batsman Tom Latham got a reprieve by appealing the judgment of the on-field umpire.

Using his social media profiles, Jaffer retaliated against Neesham by referencing Sri Lankan Kumar Dharmasena. He stated that India is fine with the DRS method being used in their games. Jaffer also made the amusing remark that they like DRS as a person, alluding to Dharmasena.

In 2019, Dharmasena served as one of the on-field officials for New Zealand’s 50-over World Cup final versus England. In the important match, the umpire made a mistake by awarding England six runs off an overthrow. Those runs robbed the Kiwis their first world championship.

Dharmasena was notable for being the fourth umpire for the T20 World Cup 2021 final between New Zealand and Australia. The Kane Williamson-led squad was hammered by Australia in the multi-nation event’s most significant match. IND vs NZ 2021

With their brave 151-run stand in the first innings, Tom Latham and Will Young gave New Zealand a great start at the top. Young dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 67th over, ending the partnership.

Before edging one to the wicketkeeper, the right-hander provided 89 important runs from 214 deliveries. Kane Williamson, the skipper, has now joined Latham in the crease.

However, India scored an astounding 345 runs after deciding to bat first at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. Shreyas Iyer (105) had an impressive debut in Test cricket by hitting a wonderful century. Shumban Gill (52) and Ravindra Jadeja (50) also contributed significantly.
