Chris Gayle posts a cryptic tweet ”I Ain’t Leaving” in the T20 World Cup

Chris Gayle of the West Indies seemed to be having the time of his life in Dubai.

The self-proclaimed ‘Universe Boss’ has made it quite obvious that he has no plans to leave the United Arab Emirates, as evidenced by a series of films on his Instagram stories.

Gayle has shared a number of videos on Instagram of models from other nations and other travelers, all of whom appear to be sending the same message of not leaving Dubai.

To emphasize his argument, the two-time T20 World Cup champion took to Twitter and wrote:

‘’I Ain’t Leaving…’’

Once again, Gayle’s tweet has sparked rumors about his departure from international cricket. The 41-year-position old’s on retiring has shifted several times.

He declared in 2019 that he would retire after the 50-over World Cup in England. However, following the event, the opening batsman went on to play in a home series against India, fueling doubts over his international future.

Gayle recently competed in the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, where his performance mirrored that of the West Indies.

Following the two-time world champions’ final league stage match, he was greeted with a “guard of honor” from his teammates as well as the Australians.

However, the mysterious cricketer reignited curiosity when he told the International Cricket Council (ICC) in an official interview that he wanted to retire from the game in front of his home fans. He also voiced his desire to play in a third World Cup, but admitted that it would be a step too far. Chris Gayle

‘’I’d love to play one more World Cup. But I don’t think they will allow me. It’s been a phenomenal career. I didn’t announce any retirement but they actually give me one game in Jamaica to go in front of my home crowd, then I can say ‘hey guys, thank you so much.’ Let’s see. If not, I’ll announce it, long time and then I’ll be joining DJ Bravo in the backend and say thanks to each and everyone but I can’t say that as yet,” said Gayle.

It’ll be interesting to watch if one of the game’s biggest entertainers receives a proper send-off in front of his home crowd.
