IND vs NZ 2021: Kane Williamson is all set to give the team’s impending three-match T20I series

IND vs NZ 2021:Kane Williamson, New Zealand’s captain, has opted out of the team’s upcoming three-match T20I series against India. The champion cricketer will forego the two-match white-ball series, preferring to concentrate on the two-match Test series that follows.

According to a press release from New Zealand Cricket, the right-hander will join a group of Test specialists who have already begun their training in Jaipur. In the absence of Williamson, veteran fast bowler Tim Southee selected captain for the first match.

“With the opening game of the T20 series on Wednesday evening, followed by games on Friday and Sunday night. The decision for Williamson to join the Test specialist group already training in Jaipur as they focus on red-ball preparation.” – New Zealand Cricket’s statement
