India has dominated the circuit in all formats under Ravi Shastri’s leadership. Despite not winning an ICC title, Shastri will be remembered as one of India’s top coaches.

Virat Kohli and his teammates have won 118 matches out of 183 games under Ravi Shastri, for a win rate of around 64.50.

Shastri’s replacement has been named by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). From the forthcoming home series against New Zealand, Dravid will be in control of the team.

After the T20 World Cup, the legendary cricketer has also opted to step down as captain of the shortest format of the game. It was the right decision, according to Virat Kohli, because six to seven years of rigorous cricket takes a toll on the body.
