Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistani speedster, has expressed his disgust with the “Mauka Mauka” advertising. He stated that it could no longer be consider amusing. He also expressed his desire for India to have another “Mauka” (opportunity). To overcome Pakistan in the T20 World Cup finals in 2021.
Prior to the ODI World Cup 2015 match between India and Pakistan, the “Mauka Mauka” advertising campaign was launched. The meaning of ‘Mauka Mauka’ is that the Pakistani squad has a chance (mauka). To win their first World Cup match against India.
During the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021, however, Pakistan seized the opportunity and broke their hoodoo of losing World Cup matches to India by defeating them comprehensively by ten wickets.

“The reason why I used this word “mauka” is because, it is not funny anymore. It’s alright to make advertisements and get entertained but you are hitting a nation, which is a very proud nation (Pakistan). It’s not funny anymore because it’s hurting the nation, which is very proud,” said Akhtar.
Therefore, Pakistan was the first team to qualify for the semifinals of the T20 World Cup 2021, headed by Babar Azam. Meanwhile, the Indian team is still fighting tooth and nail to make it to the knockout stages.
Following Afghanistan’s defeat to India on November 3, some Pakistani fans took to Twitter to complain that the match was ‘rigged.’ Worse, these accusations weren’t made as light-hearted jokes or inane comments by anonymous Twitter accounts; professional sports writers and even a few celebrities joined in the misinformation.
Shoaib Akhtar, a Pakistani veteran, urged his fans not to continue the aforementioned propaganda against Afghanistan. The 46-year-old claimed that the Mohammad Nabi-led team gave it everything they had, but that they were outplayed by a brilliant Indian outfit.
