Pakistan’s fantastic run in the T20 World Cup continued with a second consecutive victory over New Zealand, thanks to a cohesive team effort.
Pakistan held New Zealand to a meager score of 134/8 after requesting them to bat first. Haris Rauf led the charge with a four-wicket haul. While Pakistan struggled in the run chase, Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik made sure their team crossed the finish line.
Haris Rauf (4/22) bowled incredibly well and constantly generated breakthroughs to derail the Kiwi innings after asking them to bat first in Sharjah on Tuesday.

New Zealand recently postponed a trip of Pakistan at the last minute, citing security concerns. It enraged and frustrated Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) fans.
Pakistan cricket fans seized the opportunity following today’s victory and ridiculed New Zealand for postponing the tour.

Some of them also praised Pakistan’s cricket squad for maintaining a steady style of play. They went on to list Babar Azam’s team as one of the tournament’s favorites.
Pakistan has qualified for the semi-finals after wins over India and New Zealand. In their remaining matches, they will face Namibia, Afghanistan, and Scotland. Only if they lose two of these matches will their chances be jeopardized, which seems improbable given their present form.
On October 29, Pakistan will meet Afghanistan in Dubai. They will subsequently fly to Abu Dhabi on November 2 to play Namibia. On November 7, Pakistan will face Scotland in Sharjah to conclude the Super 12 round.
