Aakash Chopra has revealed his predictions for Pakistan’s T20 World Cup 2021 match against New Zealand tonight.
Pakistan enters the tournament with a resounding 10-wicket victory over Team India. New Zealand, on the other side, will play their first Super 12 match of the competition.
“Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi will together take 4 or more wickets. I was taking Haris Rauf lightly but he is a decent bowler. He bowls at pace and his slower one is very deceptive. The length at which he bowls will be perfect for Sharjah.” He observed
Lockie Ferguson’s experience playing in the second leg of the IPL 2021 in the UAE, according to the former India cricketer, will serve him well.
“Lockie Ferguson can take 2 or more wickets. He has bowled decently well here, he has played IPL encounters for Kolkata. I think he will be fine.” Aakash Chopra predicted
Ferguson was outstanding for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2021, with the exception of the final, when he was ripped apart by the Chennai Super Kings bats.
Mohammad Rizwan
Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman, according to Aakash Chopra, will make a significant contribution to Pakistan.
“Babar, Rizwan, and Zaman – their top three – will make more than 90 runs. And I feel they will have to do that as well if you have to go ahead because you have to do a lot better in the powerplay overs than the last four or five overs.” He elaborated
Pakistan will put it across the Kane Williamson-led side, according to the respected expert.
“I am just going with Pakistan to win. New Zealand will have to play much above their potential to trouble Pakistan. The scales are tilted heavily towards Pakistan.” Aakash Chopra explained
Pakistan will undoubtedly be on a high following their first World Cup victory over arch-rivals India. Their knowledge of UAE conditions and Sharjah’s typically low and slow surface will further help them.
