England fast bowler Steve Harmison, on the other hand, predicts a high-octane clash in the 2021 T20 World Cup final. The finals will either feature England against Australia or India versus Pakistan, according to Harmison, with the latter being the more likely combination.
In the Super 12s, Harmison projected that India and England would win their respective groups. He chose Australia to come second in Group 1 over the West Indies. Harmison also predicted that Pakistan would finish above New Zealand in Group 2 and qualify for the semi-finals.
“England will win their group and India will win their group, think Pakistan will come second in India’s group. It’s a toss-up between West Indies and Australia in England’s group, I’m gonna go with Australia. That means it would be India vs Australia and England vs Pakistan semi-finals and it wouldn’t surprise me if the old enemies come face to face in the finals either way whether it be England vs Australia or India vs Pakistan, I think it might be the latter for a final of the T20 World Cup.” England pacer said
In the 2010 edition of the T20 World Cup, England faced Australia in the final. India and Pakistan were in the finals in the first edition of the competition three years ago.
Deep Dasgupta
Deep Dasgupta praised England’s large number of all-rounders for allowing them to field a long batting order. He believed that this naturally prompted the team to play a more aggressive and courageous type of cricket.

“England is definitely one of the favorites to win the T20 World Cup with the way they approach white-ball cricket. But, the pitches are not in their favor. Had it pitches that offered 180-200 runs, then England absolutely would have been at the top with West Indies as my favorites Another thing that helps them is the number of all-rounders that they have, it helps them to put up a playing XI that can bat from No.1 to No.10.” Dasgupta said
