Pakistan and South Africa will lock horns in Match No. 15 of the T20 World Cup 2021 warm-up

Pakistan, captained by Babar Azam, began their campaign with a bang in the warm-ups. They beat West Indies by seven wickets at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai on Monday, October 18. Pakistan pulled down a 131-run goal with 27 balls to spare.

Babar showed his class by getting 50 before being bowled by Hayden Walsh Jr. On 46, Fakhar Zaman also remained undefeated. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, and Haris Rauf each took two wickets before that. At one end, Imad Wasim likewise kept things tidy.

South Africa, led by Temba Bavuma, also got off to a good start. At Tolerance Oval, the Proteas defeated Afghanistan by 41 runs. Aiden Markram scored 48 points to lead South Africa to a 145-point victory. Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, and David Miller all contributed significantly.

The standout bowler for South Africa was Tabraiz Shamsi, the ICC’s No. 1 ranked T20I bowler. With an economy rate of 4.50, the left-arm wrist-spinner took three wickets. Bjorn Fortuin, Dwaine Pretorius, and Keshav Maharaj all assisted Lungi Ngidi in claiming two wickets.

So far in the competition, the surface at Tolerance Oval has been a sporting one. Batters haven’t been able to score as readily as they would want. It doesn’t appear that a high-scoring game is in the cards.

However, there will be no rain, and the weather will be clear. The temperature will be in the mid-thirties Celsius, with humidity in the low sixties.
