Virat Kohli reveals his batting position for the ICC event: T20 World Cup 2021

Virat Kohli, the captain of Team India, recently stated that he will not bat first in the 2021 T20 World Cup. Instead, the champion batsman will bat at No. 3, with KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma opening the innings.

During the toss, the right-hander confirmed it before India’s first warm-up match against England. While things were different before the recent edition of the Indian Premier League, he stated that KL Rahul’s form cannot be overlooked because he has been in fantastic form.

“We are pretty sorted in terms of how we are going to start in the first game. Outside of that, we just want to give an opportunity to guys in these games as much as possible. We will look to give game-time to most of them. Things were different before the IPL.” Kohli said

“Now it’s difficult to look beyond KL Rahul at the top of the order. Rohit is a no-brainer. A world-class player, he’s been solid upfront. I will be batting at No. 3. That’s the only news I can give to start off.” Kohli added

KL Rahul’s outstanding batting at the top of the order in the IPL has prompted the Indian captain to bat at No. 3.

However, At the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai, India, and England will play their first warm-up match of the tournament. Virat Kohli has won the toss and will bowl first.
