The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have released a video of head coach Brendon McCullum giving a motivational address to their players ahead of the IPL 2021 UAE leg.
On Friday, KKR will play Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL 2021 final in Dubai. Chennai remained consistent over the course of the two legs of the tournament, finishing second in the points standings following the league stage.
In India, KKR, on the other hand, had only two wins from seven games at the end of the first half. However, they rallied to make the playoffs in the United Arab Emirates. They then defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Eliminator before overcoming Delhi Capitals (DC) in Qualifier 2.
McCullum addressed the KKR group ahead of the UAE leg of the IPL 2021 that they had nothing to lose and that the challenge of fighting back against all odds should motivate them.
“Imagine things work out. And in five weeks, we’re standing there with the trophy after being two wins from seven games. Imagine that journey. Imagine the stories that you’ll get to tell, the experiences you go to share. That’s what’s in front of us. That should enthuse us, excite us. We have got nothing to lose, lads and that makes us dangerous.” he said

In Qualifier 2, KKR was cruising at 123 for 1 in a chase of 136 against DC. However, they were reduced to 130 for 7 after an unexplained batting collapse. However, Rahul Tripathi smashed a six off Ravichandran Ashwin in the final over to give KKR the victory.
The match between Chennai’s batting and Kolkata’s bowling, according to former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir, might decide the IPL 2021 final between CSK and KKR.
Apart from spinners, Lockie Ferguson will play a vital role for KKR, according to Gambhir, because the Dubai track is anticipated to favor pacers.
