The Delhi Capitals (DC) have shared photos of its players having fun on a day off, participating in games such as beach volleyball and stand-up paddling.
DC is presently in first place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 points standings, with 20 points from 13 games. They defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by three wickets in a low-scoring thriller in their previous match.
The team tweeted photos of their players having fun and activities on their off-day on Wednesday.
Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer, skipper Rishabh Pant, and Prithvi Shaw are all seen in a light-hearted attitude in the photographs.
Despite qualifying for the IPL 2021 playoffs, Delhi still has one league match to play. On Friday, October 8, they will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Dubai.
Shimron Hetmyer held his composure to hit an unbeaten 28 off 18 balls in IPL 2021 match number 50 in Dubai on Monday to help DC chase down 137.
At one point during the chase, DC appeared to be in command, having reached 71 for 2. However, they stumbled spectacularly, falling to a score of 99 for 6. Hetmyer, on the other hand, made several crucial strokes to help DC cross the finish line.

However, Shikhar Dhawan, at the top of the order, contributed a critical 39 runs. Axar Patel, the left-arm spinner, bowled a brilliant stint of 2 for 18 and was chosen player of the match for his efforts.
“It is difficult to assess the length and line, and the pace of the ball [on such pitches]. I thought they (CSK) scored five or ten runs less in the powerplay.” Axar said
DC has yet to win an IPL championship. Last year, they came close to winning the title but were defeated in the final by Mumbai Indians (MI).
