Aakash Chopra says “The boarding passes have been printed” in the IPL 2021
The IPL 2021 match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). It is expected to be a one-sided affair, according to Aakash Chopra. He reasoned that the players from Hyderabad might not be mentally prepared for the match.
In this year’s Indian Premier League, SRH has had a disastrous run. The IPL 2016 champions have only won two of their twelve games so far. And have long been eliminated from contention for a playoff berth.
However, Aakash Chopra discussed how the Hyderabad players may be yearning to return home.
“While one team is trying to finish in the top two, the other team is asking to be sent home and they don’t want to play anymore. Hyderabad – the Visas have also been made. The boarding passes have been printed. Then mentally they have all already gone home and are just there physically to complete the tournament.” He elaborated
“I don’t have too many expectations. If the top two, Roy and Williamson, get out again, this team is not going to do anything. The names are there down the order but all are kids.” Chopra observed
For SRH, the inexperienced middle-order has been a source of concern. While Abdul Samad and Abhishek Sharma have put up one-off efforts, they have not routinely played substantial knocks.
Umran Malik
“I will want to see Umran Malik again, how he bowls if he is given the chance again. Umran Malik vs Kohli will be a fantastic battle to see. It will be enjoyable, the kid bowls at 150 kph.” He explained
In their final two games against RCB and the Mumbai Indians. Thus, SRH will only be playing for pride (MI). These two matches, though, will be a litmus test for Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of the T20 World Cup, since the swing bowler has struggled thus far.
