“He wasn’t (expecting the yorker).”

In the interim, Russell inquired Chakravarthy why he doesn’t celebrate his wickets with more eagerness than he does in competitive cricket. Chakravarthy cut a composed figure indeed as he castled Glenn Maxwell for 10 to knock the win out of RCB’s sails.

“I want 24 wickets in a match (laughs). It’s just that I want to stay focused and not get distracted. If I celebrate too much, I will end up losing focus on what I need to do next. But later on, I do celebrate,” he said.

KKR bounced to the 5th spot within the IPL 2021 points table and have put themselves back in contention for a spot within the playoffs, thanks to their enormous win on return to the UAE.
