PBKS roped in Markram for the second leg of IPL 2021. After England player, Dawid Malan pulled out of the event.

PBKS shared a video on their official Twitter account to welcome Markram to the family. Uploading the clip in which the South African top-order player has seen a connection with other PBKS players.

IPL 2021 will be Markram’s lady spell within the T20 league. He went unsold in past auctions.

Sometime recently Markram, PBKS had marked Nathan Ellis and Adil Rashid as replacements for the Australian pace team of Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith.

PBKS had a poor run within the India leg of IPL 2021. They managed to win as it were three of their eight matches and were placed in 6th position within the points table when the competition had to be ended.

Markram looked in great touch within the three-match T20I series in Sri Lanka, which the Proteas swept 3-0. The 26-year-old was the man of the match for his 33-ball 48 within the first T20I of the series on a tricky surface in Colombo.

Markram’s thump took South Africa to a competitive 163 for 5 as they batted first. The guests went on to win the challenge by 28 runs in spite of Dinesh Chandimal’s unbeaten 66.
