Caribbean Premier League begins on Today And a few of the star attractions of the league are doubtful for the first few matches. Carlos Braithwaite of Jamaica Tallawahs And St Lucia Lords Faf Du Plessis both are questions for opening diversions. Whereas Braithwaite has gone into quarantine after a fellow traveler on his flight tried positive & Du Plessis is far-fetched related to concussion-related issues.
Carlos Brathwaite in Quarantine:
Braithwaite has been forced into isolation as his fellow traveler was tested Covid-19 positive. The West Indies T20 World Cup saint Brathwaite traveled from Manchester to Basseterre ahead of the CPL after captaining Manchester Firsts within the Hundred. He will remain in separation for the inconclusive period and is likely to miss the first few matches for Jamaic Tallawahs.
“My tests have been negative as far as I know,” Brathwaite was quoted by ESPN CRICINFO. “We’ve been asked to be in quarantine. I still don’t know the full extent of it. I’ve just been told I need to continue to quarantine as opposed to being allowed to walk around the hotel as was initially allowed. So I’m just as much in the dark as you are, unfortunately.”
Is Du Plessis fit to take the field?
Du Plessis who left Pakistan Super League & The Hundred midway due to concussion-related issues is once more doubtful for the opening match for St Lucia Rulers.

Andy Flower, Coach of Kings is still confident he will make it to the XI for the 1st match.
“He’s had his own personal fitness challenges just recently with his concussion issues. He looks much better. We hope and pray that he’s obviously fit for his own good but also for ours. There’s no 100% guarantee about that, but that’s what we’re planning for. ” Flower said
