The Universal Cricket Chamber (ICC) has permitted partaking countries to bring 15 players and eight officials to the up-and-coming T20 World Cup which is planned to be held within the UAE.
An official of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) affirmed on Friday that the ICC is set on September 10. As the due date for taking part countries to yield their last 15 players. And eight officials, counting the coaches and support staff.
“The ICC has also allowed all participating nations to bring additional players with their squads because of the COVID-19 situation and bio-secure bubble. But the concern of boards will have to bear the costs of these additional players,” he quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
“The ICC bears the expenses of as it were 15 players and eight officials.’
The T20 World Cup since 2016
The T20 World Cup, the primary since 2016, will be from October 17 to November 14 in Oman and three settings within the UAE — Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
The qualifying competition of eight countries counting Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Ireland will be playing until September 23 in Oman and one setting within the UAE.
Four groups will qualify for the Super-12 arrange which starts from September 24 within the UAE. “It is presently up to the sheets to choose how numerous extra players. They need to have with their primary squads given the COVID-19 circumstance. Since in case any player tests positive or they are damage issues. The groups can make substitutions from their additional players.”
The ICC has taught the sheets that they can make any last-minute changes in their squads until five days sometimes the isolated period for groups starts.
“But the boards have to send their squads by 10th September.”
